Did you ever hear about The Golden Age of Islam? The period between the 8th century to the 14th century was a remarkable period of economic, Cultural and scientific development in the history of mankind. The rise and spread of Islam spurred a remarkable scientific and intellectual revolution. Muslim scientists excelled and made significant advances in mathematics, medicine, astronomy, optics, and chemistry. But this rich legacy of 800 years of Islam was overshadowed by the euro-centric culture and much of the inventions are little known to people today. Springfields Education is showcasing the contribution of Muslim scientists and their inventions in the fields of Math, Science, Language, Art, Architecture and Lifestyle at a grand exhibition of models, artefacts and presentations by students which promise an enriching experience to every visitor 20th & 21st January at Majestic Gardens, Tolichowki.

The exhibition of culture of Islam was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr Ashgar Hussain, former President of UNESCO, Guest of Honour Mr M A Lateef Atear, Academic Head, TMREIS, Govt of Telangana, Ms Sarwar Babukhan, Founder , Dr Anjum Babukhan, Director-Education, Springfields, and Mr Zayaan Babukhan . The exhibition is the brainchild of Dr Anjum Babukhan, Director Education, Springfields and it was curated with the support of Mr Atear.

Mr Ashgar Hussain appreciated the extensive research work and presentation of the students, in bringing the glory of Islam to present day. He spoke of the famous Islamic inventions and how they are relevant even today. Dr Anjum Babukhan said that we should be proud of our rich heritage and that we must Connect, Communicate and Contribute to this Legacy of Islam. Mr Atear spoke of his research and expressed that it was our late Founder Director Mr Bashiruddin Babukhan who had inspired him to do the first exhibition on Muslim Scientists and thereafter he continued to improvise and curate many more such exhibitions around the world. Students from more than 60 schools attended the exhibition. The exhibition is open to people of all walks of life and age groups.
