
KTR, Telangana IT Minister, inaugurated 20th BioAsia 2023 conclave at HICC, Hyderabad. He welcomed dignitaries from all over the world to participate in the event. KTR stated that by 2022 Telangana has reached a turnover of US$80 Billion in Life Sciences Industry and they have working with a target to hit US$100 Billion by 2030. He welcomed famous Pharma companies around the globe to invest for the advancement in biological and medical life science projects. KTR stated that Hyderabad is the leading manufacturer of medicines in Asia.

He further elaborated on Telangana State Policy to attract more investments in Life Science projects in future. KTR stated that Hyderabad has been able to attract Rs.25,000 crores worth investments in last seven years. He specified that more than 800 pharma and Bio-tech companies are in Hyderabad. KTR profoundly stated that one-thirds of vaccine manufacturing and 30% of National medical exports are coming from Hyderabad.

KTR also said that more than 4 companies from Telangana are placed in Top-10 Pharma companies list of India. UK is acting collaborative Nation for this BioAsia 2023 conclave. Advancing for One shaping Next Generation Humanized Health Care is the motto of the conclave.

KTR further participated in CEO Conclave panel discussion on ‘Future growth driver: What’s next for India?’ The biggest news from the event is that Telangana Government and UNICEF have decided to establish Y-hub. It will be India’s first youth & adolescent focused innovation hub to foster innovation, design thinking & entrepreneurship among youth of the State.
