The Commissioner of Police Rachakonda has dismissed an Armed Police constable of 2018 batch Sri Ballari Srikanth from service, on knowing that the AR constable who was working as a driver has involved in illegal and criminal activity which occurred on 26-10-2023.
Brief facts:
It is found that two uniformed policemen on a two wheeler vehicle intercepted a four wheeler vehicle driven by complainant stating that they need to check the car in view of elections. Later they extorted money of Rs.18,50,000/- from the victim and left.
The victim went to Panjagutta PS at about 12:40 am on 27/10/2023 and lodged a complaint narrating the incident subsequent to which a case in Cr.No. 710/2023 U/s 420, 379 IPC of Panjagutta PS was registered.
The Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda has enquired on the above incident and knowing the facts of his involvement in the commission of the offence took stringent action by initiating disciplinary action against him and dismissed him from service.
Further the Commissioner of Police Rachakonda has warned that if any police personnel gets involved in any misconduct and negligence to duty stringent action will be taken against them.
