
CM KCR has been very alert to weather updates and alerts. IMD Hyderabad has announced severe rainfall alert in Hyderabad and Telangana state. CM KCR looking at the forecast for severe rains and heavy rains has announced holidays to schools for 26th and 27th of July. Telangana State Public Schools and Private Schools will also be closed for both the days. CM KCR has directed education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, regarding the same.
Educational Institutions will be closed stated the Minister, extending to even colleges and Universities. On 20th, 21st and 22nd, CM KCR has announced leaves for even State and Private offices. Now, only schools and educational institutions have been asked to be given holidays in the view of severe rains. We have to wait and see, if that will be extend to offices too. CM KCR has expressed his concern over flooding in Hyderabad city and has directed GHMC officials about the same.

GHMC Mayor has asked officials to have a look at the old and heritage buildings. CM KCR has asked GHMC to take care of the buildings and if they are in damaged condition, asked them to evacuate people immediately. GHMC Mayor issued orders with regards to the same. CM KCR has asked Telangana Officials to be prepared for severe floods and send people living near low-lying areas to safer grounds. On the whole, upon review, he has asked officials to be on high alert and avoid disasters. IMD Hyderabad has stated that Telangana will receive severe heavy rains for three more days.
