This over-hype is the beginning of Babar’s downfall,” Zafar said on the social media platform. He said in a video shared by X. Moreover, Zafar criticized that Babar Azam could not excel as a captain. Performance is not as expected. “When the opportunity came to take Pakistan cricket to the highest level, Babar failed to take advantage of it,” he said. Despite reaching the final of the T20 World Cup, Babar is of the opinion that he has failed to consistently lead the team to victory and build a strong team. However, Zafar hailed Babar as one of the best batsmen to come out of Pakistan in the current generation.
