Indian current favourite and one of All-Time Greats, Virat Kohli reported that he is scared and appalled sharing a video taken by his fan. He shared it stating that a fan has entered into his hotel room, without his knowledge or permission and then shared it on social media without his consent. Virat Kohli mentioned that celebrities should not be treated as commodities but as people and while he understand the emotion of a fan, he cannot accept this kind of a gesture as it is invasion of his privacy.

Virat Kohli on his Instagram profile wrote:

“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.”

Here is the video, Virat Kohli shared:

Well, it is scary for anyone to even imagine a stranger walking into our private place and then showing it to the world on live, without our consent or permission. Fans might be excited about meeting celebrities and show the world that they have met them but taking the person’s consent cannot be ignored. Virat Kohli is right in raising an issue and hope people will understand what he is talking about. His wife, Anushka Sharma also shared same opinion and most of Bollywood celebrities shared same and stood in support of Virat Kohli.
