
After Virat Kohli was replaced with Rohit Sharma in ODIs, the BCCI has faced severe criticism from the team India Test skipper fans. Besides, their anger amplified after BCCI thanked Virat’s contribution, sharing a simple pic of his records as Captain in all formats.
They made a trend on social media with the tag ‘#Shame On BCCI’. BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly clarified why Virat has been replaced by Rohit Sharma. He also said that they requested Virat not to resign as T20I skipper but he didn’t agree with them.
Speaking to the ANI, Sourav said the selectors felt that it was not right to have two different captains in white-ball format. He said that’s why Kohli was replaced by Rohit Sharma as the ODI Captain.
It was known that Rohit was appointed as T20I Captain after Kohli’s resignation. Dada expressed his confidence over the captaincy abilities of Rohit Sharma to the ANI.
