India needed to win the third T20I at Rajkot after losing second T20I at Pune. Asia Cup winners Sri Lanka scored 206/6 in that match and Axar Patel, Suryakumar Yadav took India close to the score. Sri Lanka batsmen looked stunned as they needed to chase down massive target of 229 runs. Kusal Mendis (23), Pathum Nissanka (15), Dhananjaya de Silva (22), Charith Asalanka (19), Dasun Shanaka (23) tried to go after India bowlers but failed to get going due to tight bowling. Second match villains Arshdeep Singh (3/20), Umran Malik (2/31) bowled more wides but avoided no-balls. Yuzvendra Chahal (2/30), Hardik Pandya (2/30) have broke the backbone of Sri Lanka chase with timely wickets.
