SRH has been found underperforming this IPL 2023. They have found their bowlers coming good in the opening overs. Shikhar Dhawan played a lone warrior innings of 99 not out for Punjab Kings. Still, he could not give them over par score. SRH found Rahul Tripathi coming good with bat. In a typical slow start, they seemed to struggle to finish but they won by 8 wickets. For the last wicket stand, Shikhar Dhawan formed the strike and put on 55 runs. Punjab Kings scored 143/9 in 20 overs. Mayank Markande (4/15), Marco Jansen (2/16), Umran Malik (2/32) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/33) took wickets for SRH.
Mayank Agarwal (21) and Harry Brook (13) again gave a slow start. SRH batters Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram took their time initially. Rahul Tripathi found his rhythm with boundaries and sixes. Aiden Markram also assisted him with 6 boundaries in his 37 runs off 21 balls. Rahul Tripathi scored 74 runs off 48 balls leading to a SRH win by 8 wickets. They scored 145/2 in 17.1 overs. SRH looks to give themselves much needed momentum with this win!
