South Zone and West Zone have reached Duleep Trophy final. West Zone have won the toss and elected to field first. South Zone needed a good score to have an advantage over West Zone. Captain Hanuma Vihari(63) and Tilak Varma(40) did well for South Zone to score 213 runs in first innings. Shams Mulani(3/29), Dharmendrasinh Jadeja(2/33), Chintan Gaja(2/27) and Arzan Nagwaswalla(2/62) took wickets for West Zone.
In the West Zone first innings, South Zone bowled out WEZ for 146. Prithvi Shaw scored 65 runs in 101 balls. Harvik Desai scored 21 runs and he is the second highest scorer for them. Vidwath Kaverappa took 7 wickets for 53 runs. Vijaykumar Vyshak(2/33) and Vasuki Koushik(1/26) took wickets for South Zone. In the second innings, again captain Hanuma Vihari(42) scored well.
Ricky Bhui(37), Washington Sundar(37), Mayank Agarwal(35), Sachin Baby(28) helped South Zone score 230. Dharmendrasinh Jadeja(5/40) took wickets for West Zone. West Zone needed to score 298 to win Duleep Trophy. Captain Priyank Panchal scored 95 runs in the chase. Sarfaraz Khan(48) tried his best with him with a 98 run partnership. Vasuki Koushik(4/36), Sai Kishore(4/57), Vijaykumar Vyshak(1/39) and Vidwath Kaverappa(1/51) took wickets for South Zone. West Zone got all-out for 222 and South Zone won by 75 runs. They have become Duleep Trophy champions. Vidwath Kaverappa won player of the match and series.
