
RR has been known for pulling off some unbelievable wins. They won the first IPL tournament when no one expected them to. RR has taken on LSG at Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals home ground in IPL 2023. They won the toss and elected to field first. LSG scored 154/7 in 20 overs on a two pace wicket. RR found it difficult in the chase and LSG won by 10 runs.
LSG captain KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers found it difficult to hit Trent Boult and other bowlers. They both scored only 37 runs from powerplay. RR squeezed the momentum from LSG batting performance. KL Rahul(39) did not make much of his start. Kyle Mayers scored 51 runs from 42 balls. In the end, Marcus Stoinis(21) and Nicholas Pooran(29) gave momentum to LSG and finished by scoring 154/7. Ravichandran Ashwin(2/23), Trent Boult(1/16), Sandeep Sharma(1/32) and Jason Holder(1/38) took wickets for RR.

After scoring a moderate score, LSG controlled RR batters. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 44 runs off 35 balls when Jos Buttler struggled for RR. Sanju Samson(2) failed trying to give momentum. Shimron Hetmyer(2) also failed as Jos Buttler used up many balls. He scored only 40 runs off 41 balls. Devdutt Padikkal scored 26 runs off 21 balls and Riyan Parag scored 15 runs off 12 balls.
RR found themselves 10 runs short and scored 144/6 in 20 overs. Naveen-ul-Haq impressed everyone with his bowling for LSG. Avesh Khan(3/25) and Marcus Stoinis(2/28) took wickets for LSG. With with win LSG equalled RR points with 4 wins but they stay at second position due to NRR.
