RCB Women found a hero in Sophie Devine on 18th March. She played a sensational innings off 99 from 36 balls to set up win in big chase for her team. Gujarat Giants Women have scored 188/4 in their innings. RCB Women had to score 189 runs to win the match. Ellyse Perry (19) and Heather Knight (22) finished the match after Sophie Divine explosive innings. RCB Women with two big wins have climbed to fourth place in the Table.
Captain Smriti Mandhana came good and scored 37 (31) to set up the win. RCB Women, now have 4 points from 7 matches. They have another league match to go. RCB Women have to win against strong Mumbai Indians Women to give themselves a chance to qualify. UP Warriorz Women have proved that Mumbai Indians Women are not invincible in their league match. Now, RCB Women have to wish UP Warriorz Women lose their two matches and they win against Mumbai Indians Women with big margin to qualify.
It seems impossible as UP Warriorz Women will fancy themselves to win against Gujarat Giants Women, who look weaker than other sides. RCB Women will be happy to end their campaign with a win against Mumbai Indians Women to give themselves better chance in the next year league.
