India needed to score quickly to push West Indies on the backfoot in their second innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal(38) and Rohit Sharma(57) scored runs in T20I fashion.

Shubman Gill(29) and Ishan Kishan continued the aggression. Ishan Kishan completed his maiden fifty with 52 from 38 for India in Tests. India declared at 181/2 in their second innings. They gave West Indies 365 runs target to win the Test. Rain interrupted play on 4th day. And 5th day did not start on schedule with rain. Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets to fall. WI is on 76/2 and only rain can stop them from being whitewashed by India, yet again, in Tests.
