Pakistan marched on against Sri Lanka in the second Test after rain decided to let the cricket happen. Abdullah Shafique scored a huge double century to put his team in great position. Pakistan, on the back of his big innings, scored a huge score amounting to 563/5. They have secured a huge lead of 397 runs against Sri Lanka. Pakistan will be looking to push for the lead to cross 450 on Day 4 and then have a crack at Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka got bundled out for 166 in their first innings. In reply, Pakistan opener Abdullah Shafique has put on 108-run partnership with Shan Masood(51). Later, he has put on 89-run partnership with Babar Azam(39). With Saud Shakeel(57), he has put on 99-run partnership to take Pakistan to 319/4. Sarfaraz Ahmed got retired hurt after scoring 14.

Later, Agha Salman and Abdullah Shafique have went on to put on 124 runs partnership. Abdullah Shafique has scored 201 runs, a double century for Pakistan. Mohammad Rizwan scored 37 runs after Abdullah got out. Agha Salman went on to scored his second century for Pakistan. He scored his highest ever in Tests – 132 runs and he is still batting. Pakistan is now on 563/5 and they might bat till lunch on Day 4. If rain doesn’t interrupt, Sri Lanka will be looking at 2-0, whitewash in the hands of Pakistan.
