New Zealand has won the first Test Match, thanks to Kane Williamson heroics. They have led India into World Test Championship Finals, with their victory. Sri Lanka tried their best but lost on the last ball. New Zealand is dominating second Test. Again thanks to Kane Williamson and this time Henry Nicholls came good. New Zealand have dismissed Sri Lanka for 164 and have induced follow-on too.
Sri Lanka found their captain Dimuth Karunaratne (89) & (51) making runs but he did not get any support in the first innings. In the second innings, he got out but Kushal Mendis (50) is still at the crease, trying to save Test for Sri Lanka. They are on 113/2 while they have been all-out for 164 in first innings. New Zealand scored a massive total of 580/4. Kane Williamson (215), Henry Nicholls (200*) have put on 363 runs for 3rd wicket. Devon Conway (78) scored well for New Zealand. Three pace bowlers of Sri Lanka have given away more than 100 runs.
Matt Henry (3/44), Michael Bracewell (3/50), Tim Southee (1/22), Blair Tickner (1/21) and Doug Bracewell (1/19) did well for New Zealand in the first innings of Sri Lanka. Tim Southee (1/9) again proved to be most economical bowler, in the second innings. But Dimuth Karunaratne and Kushal Mendis have put on 71 runs to give Sri Lanka hope to bat in the second innings. New Zealand will look to close the match on 4th Day, as soon as they can to complete clean sweep.
