KL Rahul has grown into an important middle-order and top order batsman for India. His IPL performances have been consistent and he has won Orange Cap several times. KL Rahul has been consistently scoring highest number of runs in IPL. LSG aka Lucknow Super Giants depend on him to perform better with bat. But KL Rahul could miss rest of IPL 2023.
He got injured on the field while trying to stop a ball against RCB. KL Rahul could not bat or field for the entire match. Krunal Pandya captained LSG, instead of him. Against CSK, on 3rd May, he won’t play due to the injury. Now, BCCI has brought in NCA and stated that KL Rahul further participation in this year IPL, will be decided by them. He is important for World Test Championship Final and One-day World Cup.
Jasprit Bumrah has already been rested due to his injury. Shreyas Iyer could not play due to injury and Rishabh Pant is nursing back from injuries caused by his accident. Now, Jaydev Unadkat has been ruled out of IPL. KL Rahul has picked up an injury and hence, BCCI wants to monitor his progress, by themselves. Some of the key players for India have been injured and hence, it is important to look after them at the right time. Hence, there is a chance of KL Rahul missing out rest of the tournament.
