India Women has been truly Internationally best team in Cricket. While Australia Women have been invincible, South Africa Women and England Women have been bigger threats. Now, India Women is trying to become one of the best Women’s team in Cricket. Now, the women’s team has won Gold at Asian Games, 2023. This is a great news for India Women and they can be called as Asian Champions like India Mens.
Asian Games 2023 has introduced T20 Cricket league to encourage more Asian countries to play cricket. Mens team will also play in the tournament in upcoming days. India Women have reached final and played it against Sri Lanka Women. India Women have won the toss and elected to bat first. Smriti Mandhana(46) and Jemimah Rodrigues(42) helped them to make 116/7 in 20 overs. Udeshika Prabodhani(2/16), Inoka Ranaweera(2/21) and Sugandika Kumari(2/30) took wickets for Sri Lanka Women.
In the chase, Sri Lanka Women could not get good partnership to win the game. Hasini Perera(25), Nilakshi de Silva(23) and Oshadi Ranasinghe(19) managed to put up double figure scores. Sri Lanka Women managed to score only 97/8. India Women won the match by 19 runs and won the Gold. Titas Sadhu(3/6), Rajeshwari Gayakwad(2/20), Devika Vaidya(1/15), Pooja Vastrakar(1/20) and Deepti Sharma(1/25) took wickets for India Women. They have made India proud with this remarkable performance.
