India has been finally able to post a victory on the board in T20I series. West Indies have been able to shock Indian young T20I team in the ongoing series. India has rested Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for the series. Hardik Pandya has been captaining the side. Tilak Verma, Ishan Kishan have been given a continuous run in the series, till date. West Indies have won the toss and elected to bat first. Brandon King gave a solid start to WI with 42 runs on board. Kyle Mayers(25), Nicholas Pooran(20) scored quickly. India got the wickets a regular intervals to keep their scoring under check. Rovman Powell scored a quick-fire 40 from 19 balls pushing WI score to 159/5 in 20 overs. Kuldeep Yadav(3/28), Axar Patel(1/24) and Mukesh Kumar(1/19) got wickets for India.
In the chase, India lost Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill cheaply. Tilak Verma and Suryakumar Yadav came together to put forth a huge partnership. They both have put on 77-runs partnership for India. Suryakumar Yadav scored a match-winning 83 in quick time. Tilak Verma gave him great support and then fired on by himself.
He missed out his half-century on 49 from 37 balls. Hardik Pandya won the match with a six when India needed 2 runs to win. Fans slammed him for not letting Tilak Verma complete his memorable half-century. They showcased MS Dhoni giving chance to Virat Kohli for scoring the winning run when he could in a previous match. They stated he should learn this from his mentor.
