India wins against Australia and almost qualify to WTC finals!

Ravindra Jadeja has been declared as Player of the Match has he took 3/68 in first innings and bundled out Australia with 7/42 in second innings. He also scored 26 runs for India in first innings. India has confirmed Border Gavaskar Trophy 4th consecutive time with 2-0 in this Test Series.

India and Australia are fighting Test Series for Border – Gavaskar Trophy in India. After Nagpur Test finished in 3 days, Delhi Test saw Australia giving a fight in first innings and they started second innings also well on second day. India came back in their first innings after losing KL Rahul (17), Cheteshwar Pujara (0), Shreyas Iyer (4), Srikar Bharat (6) early. Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin helped India to reduce Australia lead to 1 run. Virat Kohli (44), Rohit Sharma (32), Ravindra Jadeja (26) resisted Australia spin bowlers but India looked down and out at 139/7.

Axar Patel showed aggression and mixed it with right defence to score 74 runs off 115 balls. With Ravichandran Ashwin (37), he has put up 114 runs partnership to save India. Pat Cummins (1/41), Matthew Kuhnemann (2/72), Todd Murphy (2/53) and Nathan Lyon (5/67) did well for Australia. Nathan Lyon took his 22nd 5-wickets haul and took his total to 468 wickets. India struggled to control Australia batsmen controlled aggression on second day.

Australia ended second day in a better position at 61/1 in 12 overs. But Ravichandran Ashwin sent back Travis Head (43), Steven Smith (9) and India reduced them to 85/3. Ravindra Jadeja sent back Marnus Labuschagne (35) on 95/4. Matt Renshaw (2) has been sent back by Ashwin on same score. And Ravindra Jadeja sent back Peter Handscomb (0), Pat Cummins (0) for 95/7. India bundled out Australia for 113 in 31.1 overs. In 19.1 overs, Ravindra Jadeja (7/42) and Ravichandran Ashwin (3/59) bundled out Australia giving India 114 runs to win the Delhi Test.

KL Rahul (1) failed to give a good opening once again to India. Rohit Sharma (31) did not allow Australia bowlers to get into any kind of rhythm. But Cheteshwar Pujara ran him out but Rohit gave up his wicket to let him finish in his 100th Test with a great memory. Virat Kohli (20), Shreyas Iyer (12) showed aggression but did not finish the innings. Srikar Bharat (23) and Cheteshwar Pujara (31) finished innings for India by scoring 114/6 in 26.4 overs. India won the Delhi Test by 6 wickets against Australia!
