India has announced their T20I squad for West Indies bilateral T20I series. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli are rested for the series. Hardik Pandya will captain India T20I side and Surya Kumar Yadav will be Vice Captain. Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan have been picked as Wicket-Keeper batters. Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan have been picked as well. Interestingly, India selectors went with Tilak Varma and not with Rinku Singh.
Also, Ruturaj Gaikwad did not get a call into the team. Yashasvi Jaiswal who has been picked in Test Squad has been given opportunity as first choice opener. Shubman Gill will open for India with Jaiswal. Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal will be Indian spinners along with Axar Patel. India has Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik in pace department.

Many experts have felt that Rinku Singh and Ruturaj should continue their form in domestic cricket. They thought India selectors have chosen youngsters against West Indies, looking at the future. We have to wait and see, before next T20I World Cup, if selectors will give Ruturaj and Rinku Singh also a run.
