India Cricket Team has not been consistent in Tests. Recently, they have been invincible at Home. But Australia came back well in the Test Series during last two test matches. India needs to get their best side up against Australia team for World Test Championship, WTC final. The WTC Final will happen at Oval, London from 7th June – 11th June. In previous final, India lost to New Zealand at Lords.
India did everything right to qualify to finals and then lost to New Zealand. Australia has shown they cannot be taken easily in India to keep their qualification chances alive. Now, Team India needs to get their best players to counter them. The Indian squad for WTC final includes Ajinkya Rahane, after his great form in ongoing IPL 2023.
BCCI announced Team India squad includes: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, K L Rahul, KS Bharat (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat. KL Rahul seems to have been given a chance looking at his overseas record into consideration. On Oval pitch, India might look to go with 2 spinners and three seamers bowling attack for batting depth. Let’s hope this time, India will bring the trophy and go into ICC World Cup with great confidence.
