India has been trying out different combinations before CWC 2023. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been given rest in last two ODIs against West Indies. In the final overs, India found Hardik Pandya(70) and Suryakumar Yadav(35) launching huge attack. Hence, India scored 351/5 in 50 overs. Romario Shepherd(2/73), Gudakesh Motie(1/38), Yannic Cariah(1/58) and Alzarri Joseph(1/77) took wickets for WI.
Mukesh Kumar got India wicket in the every first over of the WI chase. Kyle Mayers got out to him in 3rd over. Mukesh also got Shai Hope in his first spell. WI have been reduced to 17/3 in 7 overs. By 24th over, WI have been reduced to 88/8. Gudakesh Motie(39), Alick Athanaze(32), Alzarri Joseph(26) and Yannic Cariah(19) scored for West Indies helping them to make 151. Jaydev Unadkat(1/16), Kuldeep Yadav(2/25), Mukesh Kumar(3/30) and Shardul Thakur(4/37) got wickets for India. With this win, India won the ODI series with 2-1 scoreline. Hardik Pandya took the cup and Shubman Gill got Player of the Match. Ishan Kishan got Player of the Series award.
