Any batsmen look comfortable on a wicket that does nothing. Only few have the ability to dominate on any wicket and Suryakumar Yadav is in such great form of his life that he is able to negate any kind of danger South African bowlers could come up with by being innovative and inventive. He understood that he needs to use extra pace and bounce to play the ball into gaps and unprotected areas. If you observe, Suryakumar Yadav, even though has a reputation of being huge hitter and dasher, did not go for square boundary shots against short balls too. He tried to hit the ball to the straight boundary or back over the wicket-keeper’s head. Whenever he went square he only saw if they can at least get a two or three and tried to time more than hit them hard.
