GT aka Gujarat Titans have been so strong this season, IPL 2023. They seem to be the team to beat. They pulled off a memorable victory in a low scoring match against LSG. Now, in a relatively better scoring match, GT won against KKR. They had middle order batsmen Vijay Shankar and David Miller standing up to give them this win. GT won the match by 7 wickets with 13 balls remaining.

KKR have been asked to bat first by GT upon winning the toss. Rahmanullah Gurbaz took on GT bowlers from the word go. Shardul Thakur has been sent at No.3 but he got out for duck. Venkatesh Iyer(11), Nitish Rana(4), Rinku Singh(19) failed in this game. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 81 runs off 39 balls giving nightmares to GT bowlers. But he did not find support from other end. Andre Russell scored 34 runs off 19 balls and helped KKR score 179/7 in 20 overs. Noor Ahmad(21/21), Josh Little(2/25) have been stand out bowlers for GT. Mohammed Shami(3/33) impressed once again. Interestingly, Rashid Khan went for 13 runs per over. GT bowlers, on the whole, did a great job against in form KKR middle-over.

Shubman Gill got going and he scored 49 runs off 35 balls. Hardik Pandya, captain of GT, scored 26 runs off 20 balls. But they could not give the push to run chase. Vijay Shankar gave GT, the required push and scored 51 runs off 24 balls. David Miller scored 32 runs off 18 balls. They both give GT the required boost to complete the run chase in 17.5 overs. GT scored 180/3 and Sunil Narine(1/24), Andre Russell(1/29) & Harshit Rana(1/25) took wickets for KKR. Josh Little won Player of the Match for his bowling performance.
