Most people don’t know the name, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, but they know the same man as Pele. The player who was, is and will always be regarded as an All-Time legendary Football player passed away on 29th December, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Pele created Guinness World Record for hitting 1279 goals in his 1363 games, including all. He has been suffering with cancer from a year and he passed away trying to recover from the disease at Sao Paulo, Brazil.
International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) has voted Pele has “World Player of the Century” in 2000 and he has the record for winning three World Cups for Brazil in 1958, 1962 and 1970. Pele made a name for his knack of hitting spectacular and splendid goals. His dribbling skills and ability to play with either foot and anticipate, understand opponent plans quickly made him world renowned player. Even today, Pele videos and strategies help young players to learn and master the game at the highest level.
Pele worked as ambassador for FIFA and Football, ever since he retired in 1977. He dedicated his life to making the game he loves most, even more popular. It won’t be a lie or exaggeration to say that Football became such a high popular game because of him and Brazil became an unstoppable force in Football, due to him. Pele served as Minister of Sports in Brazil, during late 90’s and improved the infrastructure for Football in Brazil. Pele remains to be a great ambassador of game and a legend who will always be admired and remembered!
