England had to bat first after New Zealand won the toss and decided to field. They have scored 325/9 runs in 58.2 overs at quick pace. England bowled out New Zealand for 306 runs in 82.5 overs. Tom Blundell (138), Devon Conway (77), Neil Wagner (4/82) and Ben Duckett (84), Ollie Robinson (4/54), James Anderson (3/36) did well for New Zealand & England, respectively. England in the second innings too scored quickly.

Zak Crawley (28), Ben Duckett (25), Ollie Pope (49), Joe Root (57), Ben Foakes (51), Ben Stokes (31), Ollie Robinson (39), Jack Leach (12) scored well for England in second innings. Harry Brook scored 54 (41) in the second innings and 89 (81) in the first innings. England scored 374 runs in 73.5 overs. New Zealand needed to score 394 runs to win the Test Match.

Stuart Broad came up with his best spell to take 4 wickets. He dismissed Devon Conway (2), Kane Williamson (0), Tom Latham (15), Tom Blundell (1) bowled with some special deliveries. New Zealand had been pushed back by England at 28/5. Michael Bracewell (25) and Daryl Mitchell (57) put on a partnership of 40 runs to save New Zealand. But Jack Leach dismissed Michael Bracewell to push them back at 68/6. At this stage, England All-Time Great Player, James Anderson dismissed Scott Kuggeleijn (2), Tim Southee (0) pushing NZ further to 71/8.

Neil Wagner (9) and Blair Tickner (8) resisted with Daryl Mitchell but they fell to James Anderson (4/18), giving England huge victory in Mount Maunganui Test. New Zealand always had to bat under lights and England bowlers found some extra swing and zeal to dismiss them cheaply. Harry Brook has been named as Player of the Match. Next Test will be held at Wellington from 24th February to 28th February. England wants to win the series by 2-0 and dominate New Zealand!
