England and Australia are playing Ashes 2023 in English backyard. After Australia won the first Birmingham Test, they started second one at Lord’s. England won the toss and elected to field first on 28th June, 2023. Australia have started their innings on an aggressive note. They scored 416 in 100.4 overs against England.
Travis Head(77), David Warner(66), Marnus Labuschagne(47) played helpful innings. Steven Smith scored 32nd Test century against England and scored 110 runs. England started off their innings in a very strong fashion. Zak Crawley(48), Ollie Pope(42)have played well in partnership of Ben Duckett. He missed out his century by scoring 98 runs off 134 balls. Joe Root(10) failed. England scored 278/4 in 61 overs on Day 2. On the third morning, England lost Ben Stokes wicket early in the bowling of Mitchell Starc. England is now on 286/5 in 64 overs. Australia is ahead by 130 runs and they would be looking to get a healthy lead on Day 3.
