England and New Zealand are playing T20Is and ODIs as practice for CWC 2023. In the first T20I, England won by chasing the runs against New Zealand. Now, in the second T20I, they just pummeled New Zealand with bowling and batting as well. They won the match by 95 runs and it is a huge win in T20Is. England just looked unbeatable in this match.
England won the toss and elected to bat first. Jonny Bairstow failed in the first T20I but he came ballistic good in this one. Will Jacks(19) and Dawid Malan(0) failed in this match. Harry Brook joined Jonny Bairstow and took the game away from New Zealand quickly. Both of them have put on 131-run partnership. Jonny Bairstow scored 86 runs in 60 balls. Harry Brook scored 67 runs in 36 balls. England ended up scoring 198/4 in 20 overs. Ish Sodhi gave away runs but got 2 wickets for New Zealand.
In the chase, Finn Allen(3) and Devon Conway(2) failed for NZ. Tim Seifert scored 39 runs to give NZ a chance to go past 100. Glenn Phillips(22), Mark Chapman(15) could only score runs and all others have failed. England bowlers did not allow NZ batters go away with the chase. Gus Atkinson got 4 wickets and gave away 20 runs. Adil Rashid(2/18) is the second best. Jonny Bairstow won Player of the Match for England. Now, it seems like England will eye clean sweep in the 4-match T20I series.
