Australia has faced issues at the start of the CWC 2023. They lost to India and South Africa in a bad way. Many thought Australia has lost their mojo and won’t qualify to Semi-Finals has well. But they reversed their fortunes and ended league stage at No.3 position. Bangladesh lost matches and also respect as they timed out Angelo Mathews.
Aus won the toss and elected to field first. Bangladesh has been unable to bat properly in this series. They found all of them coming good during the day. Towhid Hridoy(74) and make-shfit captain, Najmul Hossain Shanto(45) played well. Bangladesh have scored a huge score of 306/8 in 50 overs.
In the chase, Australia found Mitchell Marsh in great form. He scored 177 runs from 132 balls to score those runs. Like Glenn Maxwell, he found help from other end. Steven Smith scored 63 runs from 64 balls. David Warner also came good by scoring 53 runs from 61 balls. With this Aus won the match by 8 wickets.
With this win, they are going to Semi-Finals with great confidence. South Africa will be highly aware of the current form of their best batters and bowlers. At Eden Gardens, Adam Zampa will be a handful for SA batters.
