In the impossible chase, New Zealand decided to go hard from first ball. Nobody has given them a chance but they believed they can. Rachin Ravindra scored his second century of CWC 2023. He scored 116 runs off 89 balls. He looked like taking them to the finish line. James Neesham scored 58 runs in the death overs after Rachin Ravindra got out. Australia bowlers Adam Zampa(3/74), Pat Cummins(2/66), Josh Hazlewood(2/70) and Glenn Maxwell(1/62) restricted New Zealand for 383/9 in 50 overs. Australaia won the match by 5 runs at Dharamsala.
Australia won four matches on the trot and have equaled New Zealand. Even though New Zealand lost the match, they saw that it did not effect their NRR.
