Jasprit Bumrah has been absent from the International Cricket from past one and a half year. He had to go for a surgery to recover from back injury. Bumrah has been working hard to get back into top fitness for CWC 2023. He has been selected for Ireland tour as Captain. Bumrah announced his return in the first over, he bowled in the match.
Jasprit Bumrah took wickets of Andy Balbirnie and Lorcan Tucker in the span of 5 balls. While he got the first one by cleaning up the stumps Lorcan helped him. He went for a ramp shot and mistimed it badly. Sanju Samson completed the catch and Bumrah celebrated his International comeback in a grand way. Curtis Campher(39) and Barry McCarthy(51)helped Ireland in scoring 139/7 in 20 overs. Prasidh Krishna(2/32), Ravi Bishnoi(2/23), Arshdeep Singh(1/35) took wickets for India along with Bumrah(2/24).
India started chase with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad taking on bowlers of Ireland. As the weather started deteriorating, many feared if the match will be completed. India scored 47/2 in 6.5 overs. According to DLS method, India won by 2 wickets. Looking at Bumrah back in action, Indian fans are happy. They want him to continue working on his fitness and achieve his top form again. Bumrah is key for Indian prospects in CWC 2023 and we hope he improves further and further.
