BCCI has anticipated huge victory for India in CWC 2023. The team has prepared well and won 10 matches in a dominating manner. But they lost to Australia in the finals and ended up as Runners Up. Now, India and Australia will play 5 T20I series from 23rd November to 3rd December. For this series, they have rested seniors like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and almost all regular players in CWC XI.
They did not select Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami and Siraj for these T20Is. BCCI has gone for best players of IPL 2023 season for this series. Suryakumar Yadav has been announced as captain. Ruturaj Gaikwad will be vice captain for three T20is and Shreyas Iyer will be VC for last two T20Is.

BCCI has decided to test the team that has gone for Asian Games and won the gold. This will be great for the young players to get more exposure at the International level. In 2024, there is a CWC T20I in West Indies, USA and some of these could be part of the 15 players’ squad for the tournament. Let’s see how these 5 T20Is play out for India.
