They scored 416 runs in first innings. Later, England replied with 325 runs. With 91 runs lead, Australia wanted to score more and give target above 400 runs to England. But they managed to score only 279 runs in their second innings.
They gave England 371 runs target to chase down. Opener Ben Duckett scored 83 runs and he has put on 132-run stand with Ben Stokes. Ben Stokes played another great innings to save Test for England. Australia got the memories of Leeds back. He scored 155 runs from 214 balls. But he got out to a short ball of Josh Hazlewood. Australia have been able to claw back into the game with his wicket.

Mitchell Starc(3/79), Pat Cummins(3/69), Josh Hazlewood(3/80) and Cameron Green91/73) took wickets. Australia bowled out England for 327 in 81.3 overs and won by 43 runs. Steve Smith has become Player of the Match. With this win, Australia has secured 2-0 lead in Ashes 2023, against a spirited England.
