Australia and England have decided to play Women’s Ashes along with Men’s Ashes. Both the teams are playing at Nottingham. And this is will be an only Test. Australia Women have won the toss and elected to bat first. They have scored 473 runs in 124.2 overs. Ellyse Perry scored 99 runs from 153 balls. Annabel Sutherland scored her maiden century and she made 137 runs in Australia Women first innings. Tahlia McGrath(61), Ashleigh Gardner(40) helped them in scoring the total. Sophie Ecclestone took 5/129.

English Women did not give up easily. Tammy Beaumont became the first English Women to score a double century in Tests. She scored 208 and Heather Knight(57), Nat Sciver-Brunt(78), Danni Wyatt(44) helped her against Australia bowling. England Woman scored 463 runs in 121.2 overs. Ashleigh Gardner(4/99) and Tahlia McGrath(3/24) took wickets for Australia Women.

In the second innings, Beth Mooney is on 73 runs. Phoebe Litchfield(46), Ellyse Perry(25), Tahlia McGrath(1) got out early. Australia Women are looking to increase their lead to put an unassailable target for England Women. Australia Women are on 157/3 in 48 overs. Now, their lead is 167 runs on 4th Day by Lunch time. Australia Women have been as invincible as Australia Men in late 90’s and early 2000’s. We have to wait and see, if England Women can try to chase down the target that Australia Women would set now.
