England decided to tour in Pakistan for T20I series and at Karachi, they have chased down 160 runs against the home team in first one. Alex Hales made a strong comeback as an Opener in this game who got the opportunity in the place of struggling Jason Roy.
He has set the innings for England in the chase with a half century. Young Harry Brook finished the innings with a breezy 42 runs off 25 balls. Alex Hales scored 53 runs off 40 balls. Hard Hitting Opener Phil Salt failed in this match while Dawid Malan and Ben Duckett contributed with 20’s.
Earlier, Pakistan started their innings cautiously and later Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan went after England bowlers. As they seemed to run off with a huge partnership, Azam got foxed by Adil Rashid and first wicket fell on 85 runs in 9.1 overs. But then other Pak batsmen failed to score freely even though they had huge platform and Mohammad Rizwan fell after scoring 68 runs off 46 balls when the score is on 117, in 14.4 overs.
Pak did not find the knock out punch in the last overs that would have brought the England moral down under new captain, Moeen Ali. In the absence of Jos Buttler, all-rounder Moeen Ali captained England in this match. Pak scored 158/7 in 20 overs while England chased down the target by scoring 160/4 in 19.2 overs.
