Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh | April 28, 2026:
The Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2026 commenced today at VIT-AP University, Amaravati, marking the beginning of one of India’s most sought-after engineering entrance examinations. Conducted in a computer-based format, VITEEE serves as the gateway for admission to B.Tech programmes offered at VIT campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati, and Bhopal.
Addressing on the occasion, Dr. P. Arulmozhivarman, Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, stated that the examination will be conducted across multiple centers nationwide until May 3, 2026. He highlighted that candidates from 129 cities across 212 centers in India, along with participants from 9 international locations—Singapore, Qatar, Muscat, Dubai, Kuwait, and Al Manamah, Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Sharjah—are appearing for the examination this year. The results are expected to be announced in second week of May 2026, and candidates can access updates on the official website.https://vit.ac.in/
Dr. Jagadish Chandra, Registrar, informed that alongside VITEEE, other entrance examinations are also being conducted as per the following schedule:
- VITEEE 2026: April 28, to 3rd May 2026
- Research / M. Tech / Law / MBA: April 28 & 3rd May 2026

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for candidates, VIT-AP University has arranged special transportation facilities from nearby cities including Vijayawada and Guntur.
Providing insights into the admission process, Dr. John Pradeep, Deputy Director (Admissions), stated that candidates securing ranks up to 1.5 lakh will be eligible to participate in the online counselling process for VIT-AP, scheduled to be held during May–June 2026.
