VIT-AP University Hosts Grand 9th University Day Ceremony Recognising Outstanding Achievements Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, 21 May 2026: VIT-AP University celebrated its 9th University Day with great enthusiasm and grandeur on Thursday at its Amaravati campus, marking another significant milestone in the institution’s journey of academic excellence, innovation, and social commitment.
The event was graced by Mr. Prasath P, Director– Head of Campus Relations, HCLTech, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, who attended the celebration as the Guest of Honour.
One of the major highlights of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CID, AP Police and VIT-AP University. The MoU was formally exchanged between Dr. Ravi Shankar Ayyanar, IPS, DGP-CID, and Dr. Arulmozhivarman- Hon’ble ViceChancellor of VIT-AP University in the presence of Dr. G. Viswanathan, Hon’ble Chancellor, VIT University.
The University also organized the distribution of prosthetic legs developed by VIT-AP University in collaboration with Buimerc India Foundation. The assistive devices were distributed by Shri R. Balachandran, Founder President and Managing Trustee of Buimerc India Foundation.

Student Speaking on the occasion, the Guest of Honour, Mr. Prasath P, Director– Head of Campus Relations, HCLTech, Chennai, Tamil Nadu appreciated the University’s contribution to higher education and innovation, stating, “VIT-AP University is playing a significant role in nurturing future-ready talent and promoting socially impactful innovations. The institution’s efforts towards research, entrepreneurship, and community service are truly commendable. “Hehighlighted the importance of industry-academia collaboration and said, “Institutions like VITAP University are creating an ecosystem that bridges academic learning with industry expectations. Students graduating from such environments are well-prepared forthe evolving global workforce.” Dr. G. Viswanathan, Chancellor, VIT University, congratulated the award recipients and reflected on the University’s vision, saying, “The 9th University Day is a celebration of dedication, perseverance, and collective achievement.
We remain committed to providing world-class education while fostering innovation, leadership, and societal responsibility among students.” Dr. G.V. Our focus remains on empowering students with knowledge, values, and opportunities that prepare them to contribute meaningfully to society.” Dr.P. Arulmozhivarman- Vice Chancellor–VIT-AP University presented the annual developments and achievements of the university. He said, “Today’s students need not only academic excellence but also adaptability, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose. VIT-AP University is fostering these qualities by creating a vibrant ecosystem that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.” The event witnessed the participation of Dr.P. Arulmozhivarman- Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jagadish Chandra-Registrar, Dr. Khadeer pasha–Deputy Director Student welfare of VIT-AP, faculty members, students, staff, industry leaders, dignitaries, and invited guests, making it a memorable celebration of achievement, collaboration, and progress.
