Over 70 lakh farmers to benefit as funds are deposited directly into bank accounts
The Government of Telangana has disbursed ₹9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, bringing much-needed relief to farmers across the state. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that the funds have been credited directly to the bank accounts of eligible farmers. This financial support will benefit approximately 70.11 lakh farmers, covering nearly 1.49 crore acres of agricultural land. Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister stressed the government’s commitment to continuing farmer welfare schemes, despite the state’s challenging financial situation.
“No matter how difficult the circumstances may be, our support for farmers will not stop. We are committed to standing by them,” said Reddy.
How Farmers Can Confirm Receipt of Payment
Farmers can verify whether they have received the Telangana Rythu Bharosa funds using any of the following methods:
- ATM Mini Statement: Farmers may visit any ATM, insert their card, and select the ‘Mini Statement’ option to view recent transactions and confirm if the scheme payment has been credited.
- SMS Alerts: Farmers are advised to check their mobile phone inbox for any deposit messages from their bank. Many banks send automatic notifications for account activity. .
- Passbook Update: Whoever have the bank passbook can visit their nearest branch or use a passbook printing machine to update and check the latest account transactions.
- UPI Applications: Farmers using digital payment apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or BHIM can check their balance through the app to confirm receipt.
The Rythu Bharosa scheme is all about giving farmers the support they need, right when they need it. By sending money straight to their bank accounts, the government hopes to ease some of the pressure and help them focus on their crops and families.
