Hyderabad: In a major crackdown near the city’s IT corridor, the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has reclaimed over eight acres of government land illegally occupied by private construction firms in Khanamet.
operation held in Survey No. 55, several real estate and construction companies had allegedly occupied land and set up temporary sheds and RCC (Ready Mix Concrete) plants. Officials estimated the market value of the occupied land costs nearly₹1,200 crore.
HYDRAA team launched a large-scale operation to remove the invasion lands. During the drive, workers’ sheds were demolished, and the construction firm was made to dismantle its own RCC plant under official supervision.
Authorities confirmed that the land is classified as assigned land and is listed under the government’s Prohibited List, making any form of private occupation or transaction illegal.
Following the clearance, officials fenced the entire eight-acre stretch and installed warning boards declaring it as government property to prevent further invasions…
Despite previous expulsion, efforts in the same area, construction firms had reportedly reoccupied the land using false claims. However, HYDRAA conducted high survey based on the invasion lands by prooving encroachment’s belongs to government it self..
Officials warned that sevier action will be taken against any people attempting to occupies upon government land, that no one would be escape when it comes to protecting public assets.
