CM Chandrababu criticized the Congress party for cheating women. He commented on Congress has already cheated over 30 years and only God knows when women’s reservation will be implemented. He said after the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill was defeated in Lok Sabha yesterday, the implementation of women’s reservation will go to 2034. Chandrababu participated in Swachchandra-Swarnandhra program organized at Nidadavolu of East Godavari district. Speaking on this occasion, he said that some people criticize that women are not able to do well, and if only girls are earning more than boys, is it not the strength of women?
He said that he is helping women through salutations to the mother and women empowerment programs. If the Congress and allies cooperated, the Women’s Bill would have been passed. The opposition is asking why the women’s bill was not passed. In 1996, Congress supported the bill during the Deve Gowda regime, but they did not accept it. After that, the Congress prevented the bill from getting approved four times. The bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha during the UPA regime. BJP defended it in the Rajya Sabha.. and then why it was not brought in the Lok Sabha. If only it had been brought in the Lok Sabha, the credit would have gone to the Congress. Even if the Women’s Bill comes in 2023, the census is to be held in 2026. After the census and delimitation, the women’s bill should be taken forward. It is alleged that injustice will be done to the southern states. During the Vajpayee regime, the 1971 census was taken forward. Women were denied reservation by misleading people. Chandra babu expressed his anger that this is treason.
