Vangalapudi Anitha: 900 children rescued in Operation Trace

AP Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha said that 900 children have been rescued as part of “Operation Trace.”
She explained Andhra Pradesh government is taking strict action against human trafficking and child labour.
A workshop on the Human Trafficking and Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976 was held in Visakhapatnam. Around 200 prosecution officers from across the state attended the program.
Speaking in event, minister said that people’s trust in the law and justice system has increased. She added if police department and judiciary work together, justice can be delivered quickly to the public.

Strict Action on POCSO Cases:
Minister Anitha warns strict action is being taken in cases under the POCSO Act. She mentioned that in some cases, accused persons are being punished even before getting bail.
She also revealed that, along with Operation Trace, 180 people stranded in different countries have been safely rescued.
The minister said these actions show the government’s strong commitment. She emphasized that the government is focusing on child protection, preventing human trafficking, and making final end to forced labour.
