YSRCP Ministers Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy have confirmed on 15th February, 2023 that CM Jagan and AP Government stands for three capitals. Buggana Rajendranath Reddy in his interview said that AP Government under CM Jagan wants to build infrastructure and for ease of governance, he came up with three capitals. As recommended by Sivarama Krishnan Committee, he said that AP Government is looking to expand Judiciary, Legislative and Financial activities in the state for ease of governance. He confirmed that CM Jagan will start operating from Vizag, soon.
But in his interaction with press, he stated that even there will be three capitals, Andhra Pradesh will have one capital. Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy explained these comments and stated that CM Jagan and AP Government stick to their stand on three capitals. He also stated that AP High Court will be established at Kurnool and not just one bench. He clearly stated that Operative Capital will be Vizag, Judiciary capital will be Kurnool and Legislative Capital will be Amaravathi. CM Jagan and AP State ministers will operate from Vizag in new Secretariat.
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy clarified that Buggana Rajendranath Reddy knows and supports three capitals idea. So, there is no chance of CM Jagan or YSRCP government looking to go for just one capital in AP, even in future as well. He once again clearly stated that CM Jagan will only stand for what benefits AP people and not for any kind of selfish agenda like Nara Chandra Babu Naidu. Buggana Rajendranath Reddy clearly stated that as 12 people died in TDP meets, they have asked them to follow rules and nothing more.
