Warangal Preeti, PG Medical Student, attempted suicide due to ragging issue. Senior student, Saif has allegedly targeted her continuously and she tried to fight him. Warangal Preeti has reported about the issue to her father, Narendra. He alleged that college KMC, administration did not respond in-time. He also alleged that Police did not react in-time and his daughter has taken this step. Police CP Ranganath talked to media about Warangal Preeti suicide attempt and her case.
CP Ranganath stated that Warangal Preeti has been afraid of Saif and his friends. He stated that she has been facing ragging from Saif and his friends from December. She reported about it to her father in February and Narendra has lodged a complaint on 20th February, through a phone call. Ranganath further stated that Police have informed about the same to College administration. They have talked to Saif and Warangal Preeti got scared that they will target her. Saif and Warangal Preeti have attended classes on 21st February and she attempted suicide.
CP Ranganath clearly stated that they do not have any idea about what she took. But they have found from her phone that she searched on google about a poison, succinylcholine injection. He stated that Saif did “Bossing” and not ragging. CP Ranganath revealed that Saif targeted Warangal Preeti by insulting her in Whatsapp groups and labelling her as “Mindless”. Saif also said that she is over-acting with his friends in messages. Warangal Preeti got terrified by his behavior and hence, took this step. They still are unable to identify clearly the poison and doctors are working on blood samples.
CP Ranganath categorically stated that Saif does not belong to any political family and Police are conducting their investigation without any kind of partiality. Warangal Preeti condition is still critical. She has been admitted in NIIMS, Hyderabad. Her father Narendra has owed to fight her case still they get justice.
