The Supreme Court has once again slammed the central government

The Supreme Court has once again slammed the Centre’s stance on oxygen supply. SC has made it clear that the central government will strictly abide by its directives to supply oxygen to Delhi at the rate of 700 metric tonnes per day.

It stated that these orders must be strictly enforced until they are reviewed or amended. The apex court was given a verdict to the complaint lodged by the Delhi state government. The Delhi state government has told the apex court that it is not supplying oxygen at the rate of 700 metric tonnes per day as per the Supreme Court orders. The Supreme Court heard the case on Friday.

It warned the central government to strictly abide by its orders and not to provoke it into issuing restraining orders. It asked the central government to direct the authorities to comply with its directives to supply oxygen at the rate of 700 metric tonnes per day. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta heard arguments on behalf of the central government.
