Supreme Court has decided to postpone hearing of arguments on Nara Chandrababu Naidu quash petition to Friday. Advocate Mukhul Rohatgi and Advocate Harish Salve have made arguments for their respective parties. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has presented quash petition for his FIR in AP Skill Development Scam Case. Supreme Court has postponed hearing from 9th to 10th October, earlier. On the day, Rohatgi tried to reason with not implementing Section 17(A) in this case. As he requested more time, Supreme Court has postponed hearing to Friday, 13th October.
Nara Chandrababu Naidu lawyers Harish Salve and Siddharth Lutura have requested Supreme Court finish hearing today. But Bench has decided to hear to complete details to be presented by Mukul Rohatgi. The senior advocate on behalf of APCID has stated that Section 17(A) cannot be used in Corruption case against a senior political leader. While Bench has asked him if cases under Section 13 are offensible or not, he tried to state facts in other cases. Salve has requested Supreme Court to quash the FIR and case, as both don’t stand in contention against Section 17(A).

He stated that investigation, inquiry, enquiry should be done against Nara Chandrababu Naidu with prior permission of Governor and that procedure has not been followed. Bench wanted to know if Nara Chandrababu Naidu participated in corrupt act beyond any reasonable doubt. Rohatgi asked for time to make the case clear.
On the other hand, Salve seemed to have found upper hand in making his arguments clearly in front of Supreme Court. For now, Nara Chandrababu Naidu will remain in Rajahmundry Central Jail as ACB Court and AP High Court have denied bail to him. Supreme Court decision on quash petition will determine next steps for the senior politician.
