Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been arrested in September in the AP Skill Development Scam case. AP CID officiers have arrested the senior most politician and opposition leader with proofs. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has immediately went to ACB Court, High Court to quash FIR. He and his lawyers have argued that Scam never happened and he did not take any money. Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his lawyers now moved to Supreme Court with quash petition.
Supreme Court has postponed hearing on the petition to 3rd October after Judge Batti had qualms to be at the bench. Nara Chandrababu Naidu lawyers have requested Supreme Court to bring the petition to bench as soon as possible. On 3rd October during afternoon, the motion came in front of the bench and judges have asked lawyers about 17(A) amendment. They have asked lawyers, if 17(A) will apply in this case or not. Lawyers stated that it does apply as investigation started after amendment in 2018. Nara Chandrababu Naidu is looking to quash FIR in Supreme Court at the end of arguments.

Government lawyers have stated to Supreme Court that the investigation started in 2017. But Nara Chandrababu Naidu argued that investigation started in 2018 according to the reports and Government is lying. Supreme Court bench has passed the petition to 9th October, Monday. They asked AP Government to submit all reports in this case they have submitted to AP High Court. Nara Chandrababu Naidu is currently in Rajahmundry jail and in CID custody. On 4th October, his bail petition and remand petition will come before ACB Court.
