Supreme Court gave orders regarding petition of Sunitha against YS Avinash Reddy. She went to Supreme Court against Telangana High Court orders in his Anticipatory Bail Plea. Court found it atrocious for HC to give such orders to CBI. HC has asked CBI to give printed questionnaire and record the questioning in camera. Supreme Court said that such orders gravely prejudice investigation.
They have given stay to the orders of HC. Supreme Court stated that YS Avinash Reddy can be arrested by CBI if they want to. It remarked that CBI has shown great restraint in this case. YS Avinash Reddy has been asked to appear before CBI in YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case. They arrested YS Bhaskar Reddy, father of Avinash Reddy already. Fearing his arrest too, Avinash filed anticipatory bail plea in HC. In reply, HC has asked CBI to not arrest him till 25th of April. Supreme Court found it very unreasonable and atrocious.
Supreme Court stated that HC has no such powers to state CBI how to investigate. They have also given CBI time till end of June to investigate the case. YS Avinash Reddy lawyers have asked Supreme Court to ask CBI to not arrest him till 25th of April. SC denied to give such orders and stated that they cannot determine such actions of CBI, as it would nullify CBI’s importance. Anticipatory Bail plea would come to the table in Telangana HC on 25th April and their final judgement will determine how Avinash Reddy will proceed further.
