Schools in Mumbai to resume from March

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray’s son, Yuva Sena President Aaditya Thackeray has reviewed the Covid situation in Mumbai with the health department officials and BMC. Post assessing the situations, he instructed the authorities to resume schools in Mumbai from March, with pre- covid timings, attendance, curricular and extra curricular activities, school buses, apart from certain essential covid appropriate norms, as cases steadily decline in Mumbai.     

He also directed that schools will be encouraged to organise vaccination camps for students from age 15 and up, on campus, with BMC, BMC Education departments, and doctors with the consent of parents, to ensure vaccination rates and protection for students eligible for the covid vaccine.

It was known that due to the surge of Covid third wave, the Maharashtra government ordered the schools to conduct online classes for the children.
