Rahul Gandhi has been disqualified as a MP. After his sentencing from Surat Court in defamation case for 2 years jail term, he has been disqualified by Lok Sabha Secretariat. Priyanka Gandhi reacted and stated that their family has sacrificed everything for country and they won’t stop. Rahul Gandhi reacted and tweeted that he won’t stop speaking and will be India’s voice. He stated that he is ready to pay any price. Rahul Gandhi said that he is ready to face any consequence.

BJP Members have stated that Rahul Gandhi crossed a line by demeaning an entire surname and community. On the other hand, Congress leaders have stated that PM Narendra Modi is afraid and he is acting on his own will like a dictator. They said that Rahul Gandhi conviction is a well-planned ploy to threaten him and harass him. Sonia Gandhi and several senior leaders are contemplating on next plan of action.
Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge and P. Chidambaram and many other leaders are in the meeting. They all shared concern about the action by Lok Sabha Secretariat. Rahul Gandhi will take a decision on what he has do to next after this meeting. Congress leaders feel this is a huge set back for them but they have to fight against it. Also, Rahul Gandhi cannot contest for 6 years, along with this disqualification, if he doesn’t challenge the sentence. We have to wait and see, how Congress will reply to all this.
