Rahul Gandhi has been diaqualified by Lok Sabha Secretariat, few days ago. He has been convicted in Modi surname Defamation Case by Surat Court. Rahul Gandhi got a sentence of 2 years jail term and hence, he has been disqualified. Lok Sabha Secretariat has issued notices asking him to vacate his MP Bungalow in 12, Tughlaq Lane. Rahul Gandhi replied that he will abide by the rules and vacate on time.
Lok Sabha Secretariat has given him a month time. Rahul Gandhi stated that by 22nd April, he will vacate his residence. He stated that as people elected him for 4 consecutive terms as MP, he stayed at that house. But now, he won’t have a prejudice and will abide by rules. Rahul Gandhi has decided to not apologize for his “Modi Surname remarks”. Also, he did not say he will take back Savarkar remarks too.
Savarkar descendant, Ranjith Savarkar has challenged Rahul Gandhi to prove his comments. He asked him to produce the video of Savarkar apologizing to British. He asked him to at least produce legal documents as proofs for Rahul Gandhi claims. Rahul Gandhi did not react to this challenge, yet. He made comments like “I am Gandhi, not Savarkar to apologize”. Hence, Ranjith Savarkar asked him for proofs.
